A project can sometimes start with the material already available. Austin ReBlend turns paint collected at the city's Recycle and Reuse Center into post-consumer reblended flat paint, creating another use for a product that would otherwise need handling as household waste.
The city's current guidance says ReBlend paint is free for individuals, nonprofits and businesses, with an appointment required. Colors and availability vary. Check the program before committing to a large matching job; a flexible project is easier to plan around what is actually in stock.

The center's Reuse Store also offers usable items that others have dropped off, potentially including art supplies and household products. Those items are free, but inventory changes. Use the Austin Recycles app or the city's appointment link to arrange a pickup visit and review eligibility for any other service you want to combine with it.
Keep pickup and disposal plans clear. Austin and Travis County residents generally use the facility free, while some services have fees and business hazardous-waste drop-offs are ineligible. Consult the city's item lookup before loading a vehicle. Reuse works best when the material suits the project and the visit follows the center's actual acceptance and collection rules.
